About a year ago I put in a post about how I had cheated, went against the service manual & changed out only one set of pads on the front of my FLHTCi. Times get busy & I never did correct it. I highly suggest nobody ever go the route I went. Reason: by putting it off & ignoring the surging I was getting by changing only one side, I now need to replace the left disc. I have wore it unevenly, gouged it out a bit to the point of no saving. I also admit that one side had the Harley pads, the other side I replaced was aftermarket pads from JP Cycles. From now on I am only going to replace both sides at the same time (Harley brand) along with changing out the new little shaft they give you along with the pads. It's a ballbuster that my Harley dealer charges $60 per set of pads....but I'm going to do it anyway. Any comments on my stupidity will be honorably accepted....LOL
