This thread is about the: H4 PHILIPS X-TREME VISION MOTO Light Bulb with UP TO 100% MORE LIGHT

I've never really been happy with the output of my headlight. At best it was adequate. I saw a TV ad about Sylvania bulbs and how they were brighter than other bulbs. So I started to do some research. I went over to wally world and found the Sylvania bulbs for 46 bucks for 2. I bought them. I got the package home and before I ripped into it I read the back. Seems they don't have a very long expected life, less than 1 year normal driving. Well that's not going to work for me so I returned them.
I did more research - very long story short - this is what I found/bought/recommend.

H4 PHILIPS X-TREME VISION MOTO
They truly are brighter and shine farther all in a legal bulb specially made for the vibrations of a motorcycle.
I got them on EBAY from the United Kingdom.
They are supposed to be as good as OEM and have a normal bulb life expectancy.
The car versions are made in Germany and I assumed these were too. Not- these are made in Poland.
I might not have bought them if I knew that but once installed and used on a dark road the light proved good.
I've had it installed for about a month now and it works great - its really bright.
A little pricey - I bought 2 of them with shipping was almost 60 bucks. Shipping was 18.

I can't get over how well this bulb works. I no longer have a shadow in front of my bike when a car with bright head lights is behind me. The low beam is awesome and the high beam lights up the next time zone.
Good find.

UPDATE:
Had some time so I'm updating the thread.

I've had the new bulb for months now and it is still as bright as when I installed it. I had concerns that it would dim over time and it may just - but - not yet. I really like having a bright headlight - A first for this bike. Back when I bought this bike if I was on a dark road and had a car behind me I couldn't see the road in front of me because of the shadow of my bike, the car behind me made with it's brighter headlights. I would either speed up and put distance between us or let the car pass. This went on for years.
I finally have a bright enough light that there is no shadow - I like it.

The high beam is really bright and shines much farther than any of the other bulbs I've tried - I still would recommend this bulb to a friend.
Hope it helps.
