Gotta problem. When I apply front brake lever stop light comes on fine but when I release lever brake light stays on.there is a small amount of free play at end of lever travel after release.light comes on and of normally when rear brake applied, front brake lever and cluster switch have been cleaned with electrical contact cleaner.
its a 1997 dynaglide, any advice please?

At least it works!! - :icon_winking:
Sounds like a sticky switch - I'm thinking you might need to clean and lube it again.
Hope it helps.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....

There is a plunger switch inside your handle bar control box on the right hand grip. You may have to reset it or possibly give it some help and stuff a little bit of paper behind it. When you engage the brake it releases the switch and turns brake light on. That is how I handled mine. Tightening the cable may do it as well. I should remember that part, but I don't. If when you push the lever out the brake light goes off, the cable tightening may do the trick. It it don't, try the other.
