Deerslayer, the clutch worked great with the plate on it. Just don't know what the purpose of having it there. It is homemade. I'm going to set up the clutch without it and see what happens. I can always get back to it. I probably put 500 miles on before i broke it down and it shifted great.

Roadking, don't have any spec's on strength, but one thing, no primary oil leaks!!! Just got back to town from a business trip, will go ahead and set the clutch without that washer. Going to pick up all my sheet metal today from the paint shop. Can't start it untill everything is back on, like the oil tank and gas tanks anyway.

I am interested in finding out the outcome. Looks like a nice belt setup.
