I have a 1988 Electra Glide Classic and I converted it from electronic ignition to points and installed a cv carburetor. Now it will only run with the choke about a quarter of the way out or it hops back in the carburetor and runs irratically and does not want to take fuel correctly. How can I fix this problem? Thanks!

Sounds like an intake leak. More air and less fuel, needing the choke to compensate. Spray some combustable fluid (WD40) at the seals - making sure the overspray does not go into the air cleaner - and see if the rpm changes. Also is the petcock vacumn tube attached?

You can also use a propane torch (DON'T LIGHT IT!!), less mess this way.

I'm stilling trying to figure out why you took the EFI off of the bike.

timing? does it start right? what color is the plug? with the choke - without the choke, are they both the same color? might just need an adjustment to richen the mixture...
You can have it cheap. You can have it fast. You can have high quality. PICK ANY 2....
