I am hoping to acquire an older (needs rescuing) Sportster. It has several missing parts so I need help identifying the bike. The elderly owner doesn't even know for sure what brand of bike it is. I am convinced it's an early sportster. The badges are removed I guess because someone repainted the bike. I found A3A66926H3 * stamped where the cylinder meets the crankcase.
Where can I find out what the bike is? I will need to get a title in Va.
BTW: It has right side shifter, electric and kick start.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Ken
