Hi,
Just got a Ultra and I see that the rear rocker box is leaking. Is this a big job to fix? I need to save some money so I want to do it myself.

Thanks..

Easy job, the question is, why is it leaking, I went 137,000 miles with no leaks and at 221,000 after the rebuild and never had the slightest leak on the rocker box covers. DEERSLAYER

I have no Idea why it would be leaking? Maybe they need to be tightened up or they might be dried out? It seems that you have to take off the gas tank. Looks like a pia job to me.

You don't have to remove the gas tank, just raise it. Easy job. Check your manual and it shows you

I had some leaks in my rocker box. I wound up replacing the gaskets when I did my cam rebuild.
My gas tank was in the way. I had to remove it. It had a wire to the gas gauge that was difficult to reach but do-able to disconnect. IF you wind up having to go through all that, might be worth a new set of gaskets just to be sure.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
