You bet there's a market! You might have the money for a brand new Electra-Glide shoved in a sock drawer and not even know it. Think about baseball cards or comic books. Now I hear old lunchboxes bring big money--more if the thermos bottle is still included.
People are weird. I have two identical series 0300 Zero Tolerance knives, differing only in color. The black-on-black one sells for about 300 dollars. However, the one with the desert tan handle and flame striped blade sells to collectors for about 750 bucks.
The difference? Well, the brown one appeared on NCIS as Gibbs' EDC in several episodes. Each time in a glimpse of a only a few seconds. But since the G-10 handle was hard to cast in that color, perhaps only 250 knives were produced. The fanboys went nuts, and now the ZT0302 is one of the most sought after folders for media collectors.
I wish I had more Disney themed PEZ dispensers. Somewhere out there is an idiot with a complete set of pristine vintage Snow White dispensers and all of the Dwarves. I cannot even guess how much that set is worth.
(As for knives, a cheap imported folder appeared in the first few minutes of a Battle Star Galactica prequel called "Razor." The knife probably went for 15 bucks. Distributors were sold out of that model within days.)
BTW, here are the two ZT knives. The brown is worth double of the black one:
