Just lost spark on my 85 FXEF checked the coil OK on primary just a tad low on high but modular failed the one test, looked on e-bay found a module for a 1987 sporster that has the round 3 prong pin and the other wires look the same, its part no is 32410-87 will this work on my bike?? I also found a kit that converts back to points and condenser style, has anyone done this conversion and is it ok. This new electronic stuff really sucks I wish everything was the old way like in the 50's and 60's when you could work on things without a college degree.. Thanks OldTimer

Hey Oldtimer41,
I would call the Harley dealer and try to cross reference the part or find out what the part number was for your bike might be the same number as for the sportster. Once you get it straightened out you should be OK for a long time.
