BIKER MOVIE EVENT AT LAKEWOOD THEATER TO BENEFIT MOTORCOPS FOR KIDS

DALLAS, TX - 10/22/10 – A Biker Movie Night filled with fun biker TV shows and Harley-Davidson motorcycles will benefit the MotorCops for Kids Charity at the historic Lakewood Theater in Dallas, TX on October 22, 2010 at 8:00PM.

A co-production between Dallas Harley-Davidson, the Dallas HOG chapter, Lakewood Theater, and Blockhead City Entertainment, the Biker Movie Night event is a way to bring positive biker television and films to the public while benefiting MotorCops for Kids, which raises money to aid the Shriners Hospital and Kids at Christmas.

The event will feature a booth from Dallas Harley-Davidson, countless motorcycles and the screening of episodes from three different television docu-reality series—all dealing with the motorcycle culture.

Biker Chicz focuses on the positive aspects of the Harley-Davidson biker lifestyle—following a group of empowered female riders from the East Coast Biker Chicks Motorcycle Club. “We have created a completely positive series that will be enjoyable to watch, and realistically capture the true nature of bikers, their spirit and the Harley lifestyle – this series will be just the opposite of what you see in shows like Sons of Anarchy and Gangland,” said Executive Producer Edward Winterhalder.

Winterhalder, a biker personality, author and the creator of the Biker Chicz TV series, has been riding Harleys since 1974. One of the world’s leading authorities on bikers, motorcycle clubs and the Harley-Davidson biker lifestyle; his books about the biker lifestyle are published in multiple languages and sold all over the world.

“Because I have lived the biker lifestyle myself for more than thirty-five years, I feel confident that we have accurately captured for TV what really goes on in the life of a biker, and in particular the lives of these incredible female bikers,” he said.

Also featured at the event will be an episode of Living on the Edge which focuses on the Vietnam Veterans motorcycle club, who warmly welcome home returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as an episode of Hog Heaven, a fun Harley travel series that takes the viewer through some of North America’s best riding country.

The Lakewood Theater is located at 1825 Abrams Parkway in Dallas. For tickets to the event please call 214-821-SHOW or visit Dallas Harley-Davidson at 1334 W Centerville Rd in Garland – for more info about this event, please go to: https://www.lakewoodtheater.com/calendar/ .
