I was admiring a friends new grips. They were Kuryakyn ISO grips. I gave them a squeeze, although I didn't sit on the bike, but they did feel pretty good. He only put them on last week and was not certain how they would be yet. That got me to thinking, that maybe I should go with something like that. Anyone have any first hand experience with the ISO grips?

I had some pretty nice foam grips a while back, really easy on the hands but after a trip through the desert they dried out and flaked off...
I went back to the stock grips for now and got nicer gloves instead.

New gloves would be an option too, Roadking. I wear thin ones since I live in a moderate climate. Still those grips are on my mind, and I guess I should get some and report back on how they feel. I ride a dyna and I get some vibration in the grips, not bad, but it is there.

Ricky... not familiar with the ISO's. I put on the Harley foam grips two winters back, and in Indiana climate, they've been fine, durability-wise. I have a paint-shaker also, and they do help some.

I'm well satisfied. The only down side potential is if you have a small hand... these are bigger around than stock.

Those are the ones I had Big D, I loved them. And they lasted for about 4-5 years which was pretty good. I got a great deal on some closeout gloves thats pretty much the only reason I went that way for now.

Big D, I love the bars. They remind me of my old 1958 Sportster bars that came on the bike. That was many a moon ago. Kinda brings a tear to my eye.
I have Carlini fat drag bars on my current ride and I was able to put all the wiring inside them, they will have to stay on for a bit. I am not going through another bar swap out until my next HD, which will be in a couple years. I usually keep them about 5 years and get a new one. The only thing that might speed up a purchase is that it looks like Street Glide may be dropped from the line and I like that model a lot. I might have to pop for one of them out of necessity.

The ISO grips are great. Had a set on my shadow there real comfortable and take out alot of the vibration in the bars. Also had teh throttle boss installed on mine. Couldnt find em in black when i put new grips on my bones but might get another set of iso's and have em powdercoated black.

Got the grips yesterday. I got them from J&P Cycle with a gift certificate I had. I put them on this morning. It was a good chance to lube my cables while I was at it. I was a little surprised at how much dust had gathered under my switches on both sides. Install was straight forward. Had to readjust the throttle cables and on the clutch side I had to apply some glue that was supplied and then I took it for a spin. I think I will like them. I need to do more miles, but they seem really comfortable and I can feel less vibration. They are however, larger in diameter than the puny stock grips I had on. Someone with small hands might not like the feel. So, I like them and it was worth the $70 bucks. If there was one down side, I guess it would be the chrome between the pads. The ends look pretty good though.
