Purchased and installed a Road Tech Zumo 665 and installed it on my 05 Ultra Classic. Activated the XM with no problems but cannot get the Nav Weather activated. XM keeps saying they need another id number but the number on the antenna is the same as the number that shows as the id on the radio. Anyone else had a problem activating any of the Nav features?

First I don't have the nav, but maybe I have an idea.
Make sure you are getting the numbers right, any deviation or syntax error will come back with that error code.
triple check the input and if all else fails see if they have an 800 number and make the call... all those equipment manufactures have help lines.
Hope it helps.

Finally got someone at XM to look into my issue. After taking the faring apart twice to double, double check the numbers on the antenna the support guy said they should be able to activate the Nav features but did not know why it was not working. Problem has been pushed up stream to the engineering folks. We'll see what they say

Well at least you got someone on it, from my personal experiences they really do try to help.
Keep us all posted as to what the outcome is, you probably won't be the only one that has this issue and once you get the answer we can all use the info for future problems.
Best of luck.

I will do that. And you are correct, the folks at XM have always been very helpful and easy to deal with. That alone is making this deal a bitter pleasant. I bet they will get it figured out. Will post the outcome.

Just checking back to see what happened. Did they ever get that figured out, or do we just go back to the reliable map and pencil?

After several e-mails to Garmin and phone calls to XM and Garmin my unit now has Nav Weather activated. Took the lady at XM about 3 minutes to activate and about 4 minutes for the signal to hit the unit. The key to getting Nav weather/Traffic activated on your unit is to get in touch with 2nd tier support with XM. When you call XM and the support person answers just tell them you want to be connected to 2nd Tier Support and that should solve the issue. 2nd Tier Support was very knowledgable and helpful and took care of my problem. hope this helps. (Garmin support, e-mail, was helpful also, telling me to ask for 2nd tier)

Glad to hear they got you taken care of. I've recently had to deal with some IT issues and the company I was talking to also has a Tier 2... they seem like the people in the know.
