It would have to be a lot of money for me to even consider it. No safety line at the top... :icon_eek:

That is one scarey climb. Not only the danger of climbing but also the radio waves are very thick on those towers. Not healthy to be there very long. You couldn't even get me on the elevator :icon_laughing: !

There was a a Harley top fuel racer that did that built the towers, this racer hit the wall at rockingham and wanted to go next round but gave it up after an hour went to the hospital and had a broken leg. He was definitely bad. His crew on there towers no injuries.

The first thing I want to say is that looks really scary.

There is a mindset - and a certain person that can get to that mindset. Understanding that level of control - yes, control - controlling ones fears - and understanding the risks.

For starters - why do people look out of a window of a sky scraper and say what a wonderful view...
But remove that glass and watch them soil their shorts. Perspective. I've worked on 30 feet high building projects. I know - thats not 2000 feet in the air, but your gonna get hurt real bad if you fall from that height and you know it. at 2000 feet it just takes longer to hit and makes a much bigger mess. What I'm saying is, you don't think about it, you do your job - stay focused - and believe me you hold on to that handle real tight. Take your time and only go when you feel good about it. If you noticed he was slow and steady and the wide angle camera only added to the scare factor.

I don't know what they make but I'd try it out if I was younger... I look at that as an amusement park ride... someone else just went on it and he was ok... Building stuff isn't about the money - it's about leaving a monument behind that you were a part of. Especially when most of the sane people on this earth wouldn't even consider it. I guess they call that pride. I might get up there and not be able to control it... at that point I know my limits and chicken out... But there has to be a period of adjustment. As a professional builder - I've been scared but there wasn't another soul that was going to do my job for me - so I had to step up... baby steps but steps to say the least. After enough years of being scared one realizes that feeling is there to make you focused and keep safe. I embrace my fears - I believe that is why I feel so alive just being. Everyday is a gift - that's why its called the present.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
