I ride in the mountains of NC and GA with lots of great twisties. I find my new (2011) Softtail convertible scraping the floorboards when keeping pace with my riding buddies. Looking at the specs, I see that the max lean angle is a bit low (26 deg). Otherwise, I love the bike but this may keep me in the back so as not to slow down the others. Anyone else have this experience?

Not on that bike, but I did scrape the left side peg on my 48, and that lean angle is ample.

The shocks sucked anyway, and I have a 10K tune up in a few weeks. I got progressives that are an inch longer center to center. It won't hurt the ride or the overall profile, but it does add to the available lean angle.

Maybe a little height might help you.

I just go until the scraping sound gets really loud and thats about it.
My floorboards are "heavily modified" from getting ground off and the frame has flat spots but hey thats riding!!
I don't like going slow, and I guess you don't either :icon_You_Rock:

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
