First, you misspelled 'what.' It has an 'h' in it.

Secondly, you misspelled 'Softail,' it only has one 't' in it. Common knowledge if you've actually been to a Harley dealer.

We deal with trolls here like we deal with spammers. eddiebolden is either a troll or a kid who lives in his mom's basement. The only Harley-Davidson logo he's ever owned is on a beer mug his dad bought at a strip club.

Not only doesn't he know what a "copper mousetrap" is, he doesn't even get the joke. The policy here is to allow trolls to post as long as they keep to forum rules. Misspelling is not an infraction here, neither is career in lint trap maintenance. So for now...

What's wrong with discouraging spammers and idiots from the forum? Have you been over to West Coast lately? Nothing but Easyrider ads and sick jokes. The guys with stuff you'd like to read have left--so much so that one member openly asked where everyone went.

Or how about one of the v-twin forums? I ride with one of their mods. He relates that 30% of the membership does not ride or even own a bike. Do you want to listen to fabricated war stories all day long? I don't.

HRF has been different. Its membership is real guys who ride real bikes. So far trolls and spammers don't have a chance here. When I sign on I want to read about bikers traveling or doing winter mods or showing photos from on the road.

I certainly don't want to read a thread entitled, "My mommie says I can have a Harley when I get older."

If you befriend guys like this sooner or later we'll become just another dumping ground for bored teenagers. Call it for what it is. I have always encouraged HeadMaster and RK to create a "troll hole." If forum rules permit posers to exist, then dump their posts into the hole. If you like the guy and want to read pigeon English and thrilling accounts about the lint wad that almost got away, then you can go to the hole and do just that.

Edit: BTW, this forum just started relationships with new advertisers. Teenagers don't buy expensive Harley stuff. If we become another cyber-babysitting service for posers, how much revenue will be generated when banner advertisers cancel their ads?

eddie.i have not been to a dealership in a while,it's supposed to be nice this weekend, might just ride up an see what's going on.checked out the new bikes on line, but that's not the same.you asked a simple question,I have not been a member on here very long, but i have noticed there's not very many people who post on here.I think i know why, just my opinon.I don't know you, never met you or even talked to you.But i think you should be able to ask a question without being ripped apart,I know what a copper mouse trap is, but guess what, WHO REALLY CARES,I guess there's only one Real BIKER on here.If you have to be patched in, or you have had to ride with a club in your past to be considered to be a REAL BIKER then i guess i'll never be a real biker. If someone ask a question, regardless of spelling,if you don't have a answer just sit in the corner an be quiet. No i don't live in my mom's basement.nor do i like people who try to be what they are not,I will never be a hardcore rider,i really have no desire to be.I ride when i can an enjoy it.If you have to be a jerk to be a real biker i'll just be a bike owner who rides when i can. Also you can check my spelling.....pretty sure i mispelled some words.Ok he may be a spammer ,i don't know,i would not call anyone on here a idiot, but how do you know.and one last question What has guns and knives got to do with riding or mods.

Because guys who ride have varied tastes and hobbies. I have found that posers talk about bikes 24/7. Their image is so wrapped up in fragile armor that they will not even consider talking about anything else. For example, I know one bike forum that has a cooking and barbeque section. I tried to start one here.

But, duh, a bike forum should attract bikers at the end of the day. BI63 and I no longer "live the lifestyle." Our contribution is more that of being mentors. No one is telling you when and where to ride. If you only ride for three hours on a Sunday afternoon, fine, it's your bike.

I'm just not going to make excuses. Here's what I found. When OCC first hit TV, it was 'fashionable' to buy a custom. Now OCC is facing bankruptcy. The market was artificially pumped up by RUBs who bought rolling jewelry. If the TV show "Miami Vice" came back, guys would sell their bikes and buy boats. In fact, one boat dealer gave Don Johnson a cigarette boat because of the increased sales.

If you choose to be a RUB, go for it, enjoy your bike. But don't call me 'bro' and waste my time talking about posers and their "rights." If I want to talk to a poser, I'll call my BIL.

I don't get to this forum a lot because I am on the road for business. I like this forum it is the most open on the internet from what I understand everybody is welcome. I have read eddies comments and they sure are interesting to say the least. Whether he is a real person or someone playing games who cares, the entertainment value of this thread is priceless. I appreciate the real feelings and comments. At least here there are real people with real thoughts. Let me clarify that able to write more then one sentence.

Rebel what happened to your SOA thread it was great and enjoy that one?

And eddie I have one bit of advice for ya, just go to the your nearest Harley Davidson dealer take a test ride and he'll sort it all out for ya. :icon_winking:

I love this forum! :icon_thumbsup:

Most of the members, that's who cares. If eddie is a sock puppet who makes ridiculous comments to get his rocks off, then why isn't he over at the V-Twin Form? You don't even have to be old enough to get a drivers license there to be 'respected.'

HRF is extremely different from most Harley forums. The guys ride. We are usually guys who saw the worst in "biker" forums and knew how worthless they were in both truth and mechanical content.

I don't care if the norm is teenage BS, tasteless jokes, a lackluster membership and endless spam. Why should we do the same just because eddie is getting his feelings hurt? Should all of the bikers pretend we like mediocrity or should eddie grow up and get a life?

BTW, West Coast has a lot of jokes this week as new threads. Maybe eddie would find solace there...
