That sounds like it ran out of gas.
Is the petcock pointed straight down? if not you have the gas shut off and it cant run.
How much gas is in the tank? Is it fresh? You may have to boost it or dump it and get fresh.
Sounds like its out of gas.
It has a bad connection with the starting problem.
OP- go back over this thread from the beginning all of the answers you need are already here.
Good Luck

3 months is not long to sit in my opinion. If you took apart the carb, it could be due to something is not right with the rebuild or just needs to be adjusted. If it was running right before, then it should not need to be rejetted.

OK- so the petcock was closed and it wasn't getting any gas.

Now that it's getting gas its not running right...

Does it have a choke? IF so, you need to use it until the engine warms up. To use the choke - pull it straight out from the bike an inch or so. After the engine warms up you can turn the choke off by pushing it in all the way.

Did you get an owners manual with the bike? If you did it covers how to start the bike. I'm happy to help- I remember when i first got my bike- but I had the owners manual and I read it as corny as that sounds.
