While no purchase is on the horizon, I do follow the V-Rod line--I believe that liquid cooling is coming. This morning I perused an article comparing this bike to another, and the story showed a picture of the V-Rod from the side. I saw something else.

I was struck on how 'laid down' the shock absorbers were. I have been an ardent critic of the crappy shocks MoCo uses. In fact, based on their recent answer to let the public simply invest in better seats only, I surprised they just don't make simpler real-real hardtail frames and bring back saddles with spring-loaded seat posts.

Has anyone taken a V-Rod over some serious miles long enough to become familiar with their laid-down design? It would appear that this placement puts a lot of lateral stress on the shocks' dampening units. What are your thoughts?
