 Post subject: 03 dyna carb problem

My 03 Dyna Low floods when I try to start it after a long ride. Any Ideas???????????/

Hi and welcome to the forum. Do you shut off the gas tank petcock when you shut the engine. It seems that the engine gets flooded when you stop. If you do shut the petcock then you may need to get a new needle and seat valve. Having your carb rebuilt will more then likely fix the problem.

Most likely the needle valve. The neoprene tip doesn't leak easily but they can under pressure. Check tank vent and float level in the carb. If the float is set too high, the carb can boil from heat build up after stopping and cause flooding of the engine. In the wind.
