vibrating dyna

I have a 2012 switchback I think it vibrates to much It gets bad over 80 mph dealer told me a lot of it was that big muffler on the 2 into1 exhaust said if I would pull that off and put on screaming eagle slipon it would cure most of it.I would like to put a d&d 2 into1 exhaust on it anyone elce shakein

It should smooth out when the RPM's are up. However, I have heard removing the center bolt on the muffler will help. I think that is where the issue is. I think the issue is the torque setting, but I am not a tech. I would trying pulling off and see if it helps.

I did a quick search and there is other chatter about the vibration. One person posted a link to a service release: https://www.box.com/s/15d6d8edf75569ee6c4f

I grazed over it, hopefully it has the data you need.

I think you are well informed about it, but you probably never put a name to it.

The journey is the experiences a person has with the bike. Learning how to ride it, maintain it, sleep on it, and fix it. Freezing your ass off in the winter and boiling in the summer. Everything that goes with owning the bike and the part it plays in your life.

My Dyna journey started September 15, 2012 when I got my 2005 FXDWG.

Indeed- I'm very familiar - I've been on my "RoadKing Journey" since 1994...

Wow, now that has been a long journey. Back in 94 I was riding a 1000cc Honda Intercepter (that is roughly the year). I rarely saw daylight back then due to my head being up my arse. :icon_bang:
