I just purchased a 2001 Fatboy and this is my first full sized Harley. Anyway prevouis owner passed away, unable to get much background info on bike.Bike runs excellant. It is the fuel injected model.First thing I did was change the oil, tranny fluid and primary oil and clean up air filter.Bike had set up for a little while, but they did crank it about once a week, just no one was riding it. I was going to flush and change out brake fluid and replace plugs when it warms up a little.Dont know if it uses dot 4 or Dot 5. Also any other suggestions on servicing it before spring.I may have overlooked something.Bike seems to have screaming eagle upgrades, but not sure how to tell. Has a SE emblems on cam cover and Air filter is screaming eagle reusable type. Bike has Vance Hines pipes. Thanks for any info or suggestions. I know I should take it to the dealer, but i like to do my own work if possible.

When I got my bike I also got the shop manual. Probably bout 40 bucks and well worth it especially if you do your own work. Has every detail and specific info for every detail, bulbs, fluids, torque settings....
Good luck with your new bike!!

+1 on the HD manual.
I didn't name it cause I didn't know there were imitators out there. I had to get the '95 one cause the '94 manual for my bike didn't exist...
See my post, 94 road king the lost edition....
