I installed upgraded speakers on my 07 ultra classic and I am getting engine noise and a popping sound. Works great when engine is off but not when engine revs any thoughts?

Gonna caveat this post by saying I HATE electrical stuff....okay, that said:

two things come to mind - a.)perhaps a connector either needs tightening or some electrical tape to keep it from touching other metal? b.)maybe the ground for the new speakers should be connected to something different(like the frame ground instead of the electrical system itself?).

I really don't know anything about electrical things but these seem possible based on some crap I've dealt with in the past.
