2010 FLTRX Road Glide Custom

After installing a new VH exhaust and Hyper-R Charger and PCV w/ auto tune I kept having issues with the ECM and PCV. So I took the bike to the HD Dealer.  After 2 weeks the End Result ended in a SEST Tuner and a custom dealer MAP with 14.6 AFR and running ok but not good.  Also this MAP had a 4 degree retard on timing from Race Tuner Softwares "suggested" MAP.

I than started to learn SEST Tuner and seen the differences between the Software's "suggested" map and the map installed by dealer.  I tried to Smart Tune it ... but still no great result.  I than noticed the 4 degree difference in timing and ended up taking it to a different HD Dealer and paying $300 for a good tune/MAP.  It did take 5 hours.

I than took it home.... bike ran better.... felt good.

Than I looked at the MAP and noticed they did not adjust the timing tables  ... only AFR tables and VE tables.  Again bike is running good and with the DYNO sheet showed an average of 10 HP & TQ increase.

I called them on the timing issue. They said that I could change the timing but 4 degress would not matter much on a stock motor, stock cams, etc.

So I now have adjusted the timing tables .... advanced it 5 degrees which is 1 degree advanced from the Race Tuner softwares "suggested" MAP.

I hope all this make since.

Please look at MAP below and provide suggestions?  Other forums are saying this Dyno is bad and I should get more power.

Does anyone really think that 1 degree past Race tuners software recommended tables/numbers would hurt the bike.

I do feel a increase in power with the advanced 5 degrees

Configuration: 1580 SE A/C & Race Exhaust

Components:
  - Kuryakyn Pro-R Hypercharger
  - Vance & Hines Pro Pipe Chrome #17559  (2to1)

- Knock Control Enabled
- Tempature Management Enabled

- ACTIVE EXHAUST CONTROL DISABLED
- ACR DISABLED

Here is the link to the download for my current MAP.  Please note that it is 1 degree advance timing in CYL 1 & 2 than the STOCK MAP on the Race Tuner Software suggested MAP 009F002.  This MAP seems to be running good; no knocking.... and definitely felt more power

This MAP is actually 5 degrees advanced from my last DYNO sheet.

Of course please use at your own discretion and I am not responsible for your modifications and use of this map.

From this DYNO sheet I guess the best news is that I went from an Average of 62.42 HP to 73.08 HP and 67.32 TQ to 78.82 TQ. (with the timing 5 degrees less)  HD Dealer stated they were more concentraed on bumping the Average up than the MAX output.

MAX TQ 80.14
MAX HP 69.95

What is really interesting to me is to see that the power goes away after 4500 RPM's or so.  So why would I ever want to go above 4500 rpm's?

you can pull a plug and check the color, if its white you're running too hot. other than that, unless you hear something wrong, run with it.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
