I have a 2012 FLHTCi with 48,000 miles. I've seen concerns about the cam chain tensioner going bad on some....& if you don't catch it in time it could ruin the engine. What i'm wondering is how does a person know if it's going bad ahead of time in order to prevent engine destruction. Are there symptoms without pulling the cover off to take a look at it?

You can always change it to a gear drive and never worry about it.
