Motor has been in the garage except about 2 to 3 times a month for a couple of hours at a time. Went out last night and I could not compress the hand brake lever so the bike would stop. It appeared that it is not engaging the brakes to stop motorcycle while backing out of my garage. I will not drive the motor on the road until it is either fixed or towed to the shop. Anyone have any idea what I can check to where I may keep from having it towed?

I don't understand when you try to squeeze the brake handle you cannot move it?

brake caliper/plunger may be rusted/frozen.

You can pull the wheel and try to unfreeze it with penetrating oil - you will probably need some new parts - unless you know how to disassemble/clean/reassemble the caliper. Probably best to get a pro to fix it for you.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
