I ride a 2012 Electraglide Classic but it's too tall and top heavy for me. I've considered removing the tour pak and also installing a Streetglide seat and backrest and upgrading to Progresive lowered shocks. This may cost me $2000 and I may still find the bike too heavy. I've got a 29" inseam and after a recent heart attack I don't have the strength I once had. Has anyone made the change and liked it, or should I go back to a Fatboy like I used to ride? Go back to the Fatboy or a deluxe, then you will have suspension instead of giving up all your travel on your shocks for lowering the 2 inches or so

The one thing I love about my bike is - how comfortable the ride is. I would never mess with the suspension on a bike unless something broke... Get the bike that fits you correctly and enjoy the ride.

Cheaper then buying new. You can reduce front end,rear end and get a reach seat which will lower you another inch or 2. Or if money is no object What Harley said.

And they make nifty docking systems that alolow you to take your tour pac on and off as needed. Pretty slick stuff.
