I would make a guess that it is excessive blowby coming out of the beather that is in the aircleaner. Did you make a 100 mile run in excess of 100mph for most of it, that could be it. I eould take my aircleaner off and clean the element and clean the tubes off of the rocker covers that lead into the aircleaner. Dry everything and put it back together and then keep an eye on it, if it continues I would do a leak down test to check the rings, winter is coming if you have winter where you live

if the dealer says it is normal then it must be the oil pump not scavaging enough oil out of the cam chest area. I thought they but a better oil pump on the newer bikes but I guess not as good as the Fueiling oil pump I have on my 2000, it has 40% more pressure and 60% more scavenging. i don't have any oil in my air cleaner and that is after 52,000 miles on my rebuild after 137,000 miles. I ride my bike hard it sees 5,000 rpm all the time, I love rpm and am not afraid to crake 6,000 out of it all the time. I would thing when you get up in rpm is when you are going to get extra oil going into the air cleaner instead of just pressure from the lower end. That is what I believe a breather does is just relieve pressure from the lower end and not be relieveing excess oil in the cam chest area. It is a shame that Harley Davidson with all their resourses can't solve these simple problems, everything I buy is HD, unless there is aftermarket that is better. I have a lot of aftermarket on my bike, from progressive suspension, baker 6 speed, brake pads that cost half the price and last forever along with the polished stainless rotors that cost less than the hd rotors and don't wear and always look like chrome. I replace the brake pads just because after a few years I think I should. Use to change my Harley ones twice a year. swingarm has been plated so it won't break anymore, that is one thing the factory took care of in 2003 I think when they went with the 1 inch axel, much stronger swingarm. also the entire swingarm pivot shaft and spherical bearings, rides great now. Well I am tired of typing, excuse the misspells and if you ever do the cams put good oil pump in and your problems will be solved. If it sounds like I hate Harleys, that is not true I love the V-twin motor and will have one or more until I am dead. Been riding harleys since 1969 when I bought my first one.

I get that once in a while - after a good long trip at high speed - a drop or two - I just take a paper towel and wipe it off and go on my way. If the bike is running ok then all is good with the world.

Hey guys;
just got it back from the dealer , seem that the 103 dosen't like to have any excess oil in the system.
I had changed oil and added 3.5 qts . which is about 1/8 of a qt. too much. This will cause a small oil leak at the air filter.If you change or
service your air filter every other oil change, the filter gets saturated and will leak some oil. The oil leak or drip will stop after the oil level
has stabilized. Again Thanks for the help. Alls well in HD land.

Jake
