 Post subject: RADIO PROBLEMS

HAVING A STRANGE PROBLEM (STANGE TO ME) MAYBE NOT TO SOMEONE OUT THERE ON THE FORUM. RADIO / CD WHATEVER IS PLAYING THE SOUND WILL JUST STOP. DISPLAY STILL SHOWES THAT ALL IS OK. TURN OFF AND WAIT A WHILE AND ALL IS OK FOR A WHILE THEN THE PROBLEM COMES BACK. BIKE IN SHOP FOR THE SECOND TIME ON THIS, THE DEALER IS GOING TO CHANGE OUT RADIO HOPE THIS IS THE FIX NEEDED. ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS AND WHAT WAS YOUR FIX ?

Hey Crash, what your describing is more then likely a bad circuit board. When cold it works after using it for a while it warms up and fails. Changing out the radio is the best bet and will probably fix the problem if it doesn't then look towards the speakers.

Let us know the results.

I had a similar problem with a radio in a car... it was the radio

I"m wondering if the radio on the bike was the same problem as the car

Have had a lot going on here in past few weeks. Radio problem solved, dealer put in new radio and all is working great. I asked if Harley factory people told my dealer what the problem was with the old radio and my dealers said no and that he would not look for Harley to send him anything to tell him what was bad with my old unit.
