New here and new to HD. Just traded my 08 wing for a new Ultra Limited and it's a blast.

Mike Carter is my name and I have been on bikes since the age of 6 and I'm 54 now. Said I would never own a HD but over the last 3 years I found my self looking at them pretty hard with all the changes they made. Also have a lot of customers who work at HD in Kansas City filling up my parking lot on Saturday afternoons with some really cool machines and that kept the thoughts flowing.

I thought when I made the trade that it would be hard and I would always wonder if I made the right choice but so far I haven't looked back....this thing is awesome. Picked up the bike Wed night and should have the brake in service done by Tuesday and then leave Saturday for a weekend run to Denver. Can't wait

Man, those new Gold Wings are fancy-schmancy. Radios and everything. I do not see a kick-pedal so I would assume it has an electric starter. A common problem on my latest Sportster.

I notice it's blue in color. Nice change of pace. Most of the Harleys I see are black or gun-metal gray.

Well, you know the old saying, "You meet the nicest people on a Honda..."

Welcome to the Harley forum. Nice meeting you. :icon_winking:

Sweet ride!! Enjoy it!!
I like the color scheme. That thing has more bells and whistles than a car. Make sure the passengers azz isn't too wide or you wont hear the music :icon_cool_too:
Thanks for the pics.

The ride was great and I'm really enjoying the new ride. Put over 2500 miles on it before it was a month old and looking to put many more on. Getting ready to put on the stage 1 air, Fullsac X-Pipe and the TTS master tuner. I just need to figure out what slip ons to use. I want low rumble, good sound through acceleration but easy on the ears at cruising speed (radio friendly)

Now that's my kind of guy! You actually ride your bike!

I have a tune-up coming next week. Part of my service will include a new tire and new shocks, which are worn out. BTW, my bike(s) sparkle like new, proving that you do not have to settle for garage queens to own a Harley.

You are truly a biker.
