So ... I have a question .... HELP PLEASE . I have a 98 fxdwg . I'm riding in a parade on the 24th of this month and struggeling with an appropriate place to attach a flag to my bike . So far I've made a pole with flag attach points . It's made of 1/2 " cold roll steel . The flag is 3' x 5 ' . I have heard hose clamps to the sissy bar and other recommendations, but I'm still not comfortable with the recommendationsame so far . Any and all suggestions are appreciated .

Welcome to the forum.
I've used: blue masking tape - layer 1 to protect finishes from clamp chafe.
use multiple layers of tape.
then I use an old inner tube - rubber between the clamps and sissy
all went well and no damage-
