RK I have been looking at your saying you can have it cheap, you can have it fast, you can have quality pick two. Sorry but that is incorrect you can only pick one not two. It only took me 6 years to comment on it
You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
Years ago my pop used to say this. He used to build, light construction and contracting.
I grew up in the business and was with him many times.
His customers would always get this saying. He said it made them understand how it works.
For years I used to hear it from him. In all my years I've only seen one other person say it but it is a common saying.
I can give you an example of it as I currently watch it at work.
My cheap neighbor hires the least expensive contractors to build a brand new house.
They get all the easy stuff done in a good clip.
BUT now, the skilled labor stuff in needed and they aint doing so good.
been stalled for 2 weeks over some "internal" problems, probably the plumbing but could be anything
I don't get involved but know enough about building houses to know somebody f-ked up.
Just a little observation:
Not one person on the job site spoke english.
The only white guy - spoke perfect spanish.
There have been at least 60 different people working this project so far, each contractor brings a new crew in.
The quality of the workmanship is meh.
Compared to the building and standards I grew up with...
So,
Cheap, low quality and not fast - You Mr DS are correct - it's not 2, but I now don't think it's even 1.
He's spending twice to fix things a qualified building contractor would have caught and corrected or not even made that mistake.
He's stalled and paying a loan on this project. AND - I get a front row seat to the fun.
To sum it up: He's paying extra for a crap job that is taking longer than expected.
You DeerSlayer are correct, my new saying is going to be - Just gimme all your money.
