Hey everyone! I guess I'm getting a somehwhat late start to the Harley world but don't worry I'm making up for lost time. I've always loved bikes and admired them from afar. I finally took the plunge and acquired my own Sportster. I've only driven a Kawasaki Ninja before and that was a looong time ago. Anyway I've been basically teaching myself how To ride this new bike but I took to it right away. Can I just say I'm totally addicted and want to be on it every second of every day.

Welcome to the forum from sunny So. CA.

Big difference from a Ninja to a Sportster. When I first got my bike, I practiced every chance I got. There was a huge parking lot that was empty after 5pm. I'd sneak in the exit and practice my slow speed maneuvers - tight turns and figure 8's. Lots of panic stops and starts. I'm here today because of that.
Be safe and enjoy your bike. Hope to hear of your adventures.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....

Hi MM,
Nice to hear that you have come over to the fun side. Practice as much as you can so you never panic at the wrong time. The more miles you have the better rider you will be but never get complacent. I can daydream sometimes when I drive but I never daydream on my bike. If you need anything we are here to help you. Good luck with your new bike and ride safe. :icon_thumbsup:
