Have only been back in the states for about 1 year and didn't know about this site until recently. Was in South Korea for the last 6 years working for the Government and riding there was a challenge to say the least. Since I've returned have been told by the Doc that I can't ride the 800 lb two wheelers anymore so sell my Two Road Kings (2008 FLHR and FLHRC) and get a trike... loved riding, sure is a bummer with back problems getting worse. Currently live in San Antonio, and have hooked up with some other Harley Riders so life is still good. Tried a trike and loved it but a little out of my reach until I sell the other two.

At least you will still be able to get some wind therapy this way!

Hopefully, I will sell my two 2008 Harley's (FLHRC and FLHR) and be able to purchase a trike. Being down doesn't mean I'm out... just can't handle the 800 lb bikes on two wheels anymore, but that won't stop this rider from getting some wind down the road.

Been riding since I was 13, and now in my 60's so riding is a way of life and one I'm just not willing to give up on just yet. Where there is a will they will always be a way. Right now the weather in San Antonio isn't riding weather, but it changes every day.... last Sat it was high 70's then Sunday it was in the low 40's... but spring is just around the coroner.

Well this has been an interesting couple of days. I got only three immediate hits on both my bikes I have for sale and all were wanting to give me full price without even seeing them or having a mechanic look them over..... hmmmmmmmm. - Heres how the first one went: First message: Satisfied with your advert price send me your Pay Pal info and I'll deposit the money and make arrangements for pickup. Says he saw my add on this forum. NO NAME, Phone given doesn't answer, no personnel information at all even though I've asked: - Second guy: again first message: I have a client who has agreed to your price, I'll add a little extra for my side so send me your name, phone and address for the Cashiers Check and once the check is in the bank, you can send me my share and I'll make arrangements to pick up the bike. Again no name, won't give personal info like phone, address, etc. Duhhhhhhh.... - The third: Again first message: Agree to full price, send me your info I'll send a check. All this and NONE of them can come to see the bike in person.. too busy working, etc. I've checked my listings and NONE have em listed as STUPID or NAIVE. They just wanted pictures. Also when I send them my name and tell them that if they need to reach me during the day and they have to call me at work and that they should ask for SPECIAL AGENT McCormick... well.... haven't heard a word from any of them since. Go Figure. IF the above wasn't enough, the misspellings and verbiage misuse was a dead giveaway...hmmmmmm. I also noted that all three used their first AND last name as their email address at yahoo.com, email.com, or gmail.com but never signed their name at the bottom. Typical scammer technique... as signing their name for each differenct scam makes it difficult to keep track. SO SCAMMERS READ ON: I won't sell these bikes unless the buyer comes to look them over in person or sends his Mechanic to examine them first. Then for the sale... IN PERSON - CASH IN HAND or unless I know you.... I don't hand my bike over to anyone other than the person buying it. WHy would anyone buy a bike unseen and only from pictures and not want to see it or check it out first before they hand over the money????? Then they have to show (prove) they have a MC License so I'm not selling to some idiot who will just get us both in trouble. IN person and cash is the best way to sell and I think thats the route I will stick too. Beware my friends, the Scammers abound.
