Welcome Mike. Very nice bike you have there!! I'm over in SW New Mexico. We won't start cooling down untill Nov/Dec, but can still ride most of the year.

Hey Mike,
Welcome to the forum!!
Sweet ride you have there, someone's been taking good care of it.
I'm out here in Southern Cal, this is our hot part of the year-hasn't been below 68 since the beginning of Aug. and that would be by the beach at night. There's a bike night for each day of the week, I'm getting fat from all the burgers and fries... who am I kidding, I'm already fat-LOL
Nice to have ya here - enjoy.

Hey Mike, Eddie from Arizona here. Welcome. I don't think it gets 45 here. Does it? :icon_mrgreen: Actually it's been raining since Sunday night here. Nothing like summer rains in to low dessert here. Sits in the low 90's here get a wind chill of around 70 rain pounding on you, wonderful riding.

I saw that on the news, our local deserts have flash flooding, and Vegas was under water with helicopter rescues.

Not a drop here so far, but what a lighting show off in the distance last night. Couldn't hear the thunder but it looked like something out of a science fiction movie.

Remember the golden rule: If you don't like the weather - wait it out. I don't mind normal rain but storm rain always "stings" just a little more.

Out here the storm rain is that first down pour. I think it stings more because it has all the pollution and dust that in the air in it. I've been caught in a few of those. Usually we get hit with a dust storm first, been caught in a few of those. I have a bandanna tied to my handle bars just in case. Also I ride with a helmet (my wife asks me to wear one, she said she can live with me in any crippled condition but if I have brain damage she doesn't know what she'd do. Little does she know I already have brain damage LOL) My helmet has a hidden shield in it. So I'll pull off to the side real quick put the bandanna on pull down my shield and just continue on. If it looks like rain before I leave I also just get out my heavy leather jacket and wear it that day.
