I have a '09 ultra classic and want to go to chain driven cams, does this require balancing of the crankshaft?

Welcome to the forum! I don't know about that one, update this thread when you find out. That certainly would be interesting to see if it needs to be balanced.

Did you mean gear driven cams, because they come with chain driven cams?

I think that they come from the factory with chain driven cams. The gear driven cams would be aftermarket.

Alright, alright, so I'm dislexic. It's a good thing I'm going with the chain drive cause I wont have to do much. Anyway thanks for your input about gear driven cams :-(

You do not have to ballance the crank to change cams.
